Djokovic wins Wimbledon 2014

Djokovic beats Federer in tight Wimbledon Mens Final

In a thrilling Mens Final Novak Djokovic beat Roger Federer in a nail biting final at the All England Club. Federer won the first set but Djokovic came back to win the second and third seats before Federer won the fourth. In the fourth set Federer saved a match point but Djokovic had the final say in the final set when he broke Federer to win his second Wimbledon title.

There was a lot of pressure on Djokovic before the match as he had lost five of his last six Grand Slam finals and when Federer won the fourth set most people thought he would go on to win the fifth set but Djokovic dug in and managed to turn the tide. Federer, who many people had thought was past his best, showed he could still compete with the best and one hopes that this wasn’t his last chance to win his eighteenth Grand Slam title.
